In 2019 ‘Laurens J drawings’ or Law the Og, Set out to create a 10 piece art series. Inspired by the Wu-tang clan, standing on its own while still blending in seamlessly in his larger and ongoing ‘HIP-HOP Heads’ portrait series.
In 2025, many international art show’s and collaborations later, the “Deadly Venoms” set was completed.
Recreating Each Wu-tang clan member as a martial arts pupil that practices a deadly rap or flow. Inspired by their unique look or character mixed in with the animal-themed style known from The Five Venoms, a 1978 Hong Kong martial arts mystery. With the animals being based on the Five Poisonous Creatures of Chinese folklore.
